Provinsi Gorontalo
Gorontalo is a province located in the northern part of Sulawesi Island, bordered by the Sulawesi Sea to the north and Tomini Bay to the south. Established on December 5, 2000, the province is known for its strong Islamic cultural identity, traditional kingdoms, and the famous philosophical foundation: 'Adat bersendikan syarak, syarak bersendikan Kitabullah.' Its landscapes include coastal areas, fertile plains, and green highlands, with iconic destinations such as Olele Marine Park, Otanaha Fortress, and Saronde Island. The economy is supported by agriculture, fisheries, and trade, with corn, coconut, and marine products as major commodities. Gorontalo also hosts unique traditions such as Tumbilotohe—the Festival of a Thousand Lights—and Mopotilolo ceremonial welcoming rituals. With its peaceful atmosphere, rich heritage, and natural beauty, Gorontalo continues to grow as a serene cultural and marine tourism destination in northern Sulawesi.

Tropical humid climate with temperatures between 24–33°C. Rainy season generally lasts from November to March.
