Lampung

Lampung is a province located at the southern tip of Sumatra, with Bandar Lampung as its capital city. The region is home to the indigenous Lampung people while also shaped by diverse ethnic groups such as Javanese, Sundanese, and Malay communities. Supported by agriculture and plantations, Lampung is one of Indonesia’s leading producers of robusta coffee, palm oil, pepper, and rubber. Historically, Lampung played a strategic role in inter-island trade routes through the Sunda Strait and was once part of the Tulang Bawang Kingdom and Lampung Sultanate. Today, the province is known for its national parks, pristine beaches, underwater ecosystems, and cultural richness. Way Kambas National Park, Pahawang Island, Mutun Beach, and Kiluan Bay are among its most iconic destinations. Bandar Lampung continues to grow as a major economic and transportation hub connecting Sumatra and Java.
